A third of our film is a fictional story based on many true stories and testimonies we heard whiles shooting the documentary. In order to bring this story to life we are collaborating with a few actors and actresses based in Cape Town. So without further ado let me introduce you to our talented cast.
Alexander is playing the part of one of our two leads. Although he doesn't come from a background in acting he is doing really well in his part. He is newly married and lives with his wife in Cape Town.
Johan is playing the part of our other lead. He was in male chorus in the Gilbert and Sullivan Society's production of Guys and Dolls. Since then he's been involved in a local society called Jesus Street Shows. In addition to his passion for acting he is an elder at a church in Fishoek, Cape Town.
Doron was born in South Africa but moved to Israel whiles he was in school. He knows Hebrew and Arabic as well as English. Because he has extensive experience with arab culture he is able to capture and use this in his performance to bring his character to life.
Mandy was our last minute addition to our cast. She plays the part of Khadijah, our lead character's mother. Mandy works in the financial sector and was in involved in theater during her school days.
Didier is originally from the Ivory Coast. When he moved to Cape Town a few years ago he decided to pursue acting. He has acted in a number of commercials for high profile brands. As a born again believer he is excited to be apart of a project that shares God's word.
Jessica is a people's person through and through. She studied musical theatre for four years and since then has taught ballet, featured in various commercials & worked at a graphic design studio. Currently she is working at a video marketing agency & voice dubbing in the evenings. Her wish is to take the talents that God has blessed her with, and share His love with everyone she meets.
